Bank Run Gravel delivered.
Pit-run material exactly as it comes out of the bank — sand, stone, and fines in whatever proportion the deposit gives us. Bank run is the value play: when you need volume under something and the spec does not care about gradation, this is the cheapest way to get it.

Also called: bank run, pit run, run of bank, unprocessed gravel.
What it’s used for
- Economy driveway base
- Backfill around drainage pipe
- Low-traffic road maintenance
- Utility trench backfill
How much bank run gravel do I need?
Work in cubic yards: length × width × depth in feet, divided by 27. Bank Run Gravel runs about 1.40 tons per cubic yard, and our quad-axle trucks haul 35 tons a load. This table gives the coverage for a single cubic yard at common depths.
| Depth | 1 cubic yard covers | Per 100 sq ft |
|---|---|---|
| 2" | 162 sq ft | 0.6 yd³ · 0.9 tons |
| 3" | 108 sq ft | 0.9 yd³ · 1.3 tons |
| 4" | 81 sq ft | 1.2 yd³ · 1.7 tons |

| 12" | 27 sq ft | 3.7 yd³ · 5.2 tons |
Add 10–15% for compaction and waste before you order. The driveway gravel calculator will do the whole thing for you, including how many trucks it takes, and the full materials calculator can size an order from a total quantity instead of dimensions.
